Breast Lift Surgery in London

Breast uplift or mastoplexy is a cosmetic surgery used to remove excess skin from breasts to improve their shape. The method is quite similar to breast reduction surgery, however with mastoplexy breasts can be reshaped by skin tightening without removing any tissue. The breasts will be the same size but reshaped for a fuller and firmer look.

If you want larger breasts or want to add extra volume, then breast uplift and breast augmentation with a breast implant can be combined to achieve the desired look.

You might consider breast lift surgery for:

  • Firmer and higher breasts that appear to have more volume.
  • Restoring the position of nipples.
  • Improving appearance in clothes, swimsuits, fitted and strappy tops.
  • The ability to wear clothes without a bra.
  • Looking good with your new, perfectly shaped breasts that will boost your confidence.
  • Attaining breast symmetry.
  • Preventing breast skin from resting on the chest.

Benefits of a breast lift:

  • Lifted and perky breasts.
  • Improved confidence.
  • Clothes fit better without a bra.
  • A curvy and feminine figure.

About the breast lift procedure:

  • Medications are usually administered to ensure the comfort level during any surgical procedure. The choices include general anaesthesia and intravenous sedation. Your doctor will discuss the right option for you, and the cost.
  • There are three common incision patterns – around the areola, vertically down from areola to the breast crease and around the areola horizontally along the breast crease and vertically down from the breast crease.
  • After the doctor makes the incisions, the breast tissue can be lifted and reshaped to improve firmness and breast contour. The areola and the nipple are repositioned for a natural and more youthful look.
  • After the excess skin is removed and the breasts have been reshaped, the remaining skin is tightened and incisions are closed. The results of breast lift surgery can be seen immediately.

Recovering from breast uplift surgery:

The recovery time for breast lift can be anywhere from five to six weeks. You will have to wear a post-surgical bra all the time, for six to twelve weeks after the surgery. The bra should be removed only to shower. The stitches are taken out a week after surgery.

Bruising, soreness and swelling may last for one to two weeks, and you will have to rest during this period. Avoid doing exercise for seven to ten days. You can resume strenuous exercises six weeks after surgery.

For your help and support, Mr D. B. Ghosh will discuss all the details of breast surgery with you, including any possible complications associated with breast reduction and lift and determine your suitability for surgery. For the best results, it is best that you are in good overall health and have set realistic goals for the surgery.
